Devon Pritchard describes the state of Nintendo Switch 2 as just the beginning

It’s already been over a year since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched in the market. Its performance so far has been ideally positive for Nintendo, especially from the perspective of Nintendo of America’s President.

Devon Pritchard joined an interview with Cynthia Littleton, Variety co-editor-in-chief, to discuss the company’s upcoming plans, especially its approach to the current gaming market. Despite its current library and consistent release schedule, Pritchard stated: “We’re at the beginning.” There seem to be more anticipated games planned for the new console, even after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The current hardware specs have opened new opportunities for the Nintendo platform to receive newly ambitious first-party and third-party games.

“We’re at the beginning of Nintendo Switch 2; This is just beginning and we’ve already had some really wonderful experiences, both ours and third party come to the table and I can’t wait to see what the system is going to do and what our talented developers will bring to the table.”

Nintendo isn’t just supporting gaming, but also other entertainment media to connect with newcomer fans, such as The Legend of Zelda Movie with Sony Pictures, new merchandise, theme parks, Nintendo Museum, and more. The company is currently focusing on delivering new content to celebrate the Legend of Zelda anniversary, though more Nintendo series could receive new support later in the current Nintendo generation.
